Tooth Extraction

Tooth extraction  will be recommended when the tooth is already too damaged and cannot be repaired.

Not so long ago, the words “getting a tooth pulled” were synonymous with fear and pain. Nowadays, tooth extraction is a very simple and almost PAINLESS surgery.

Despite every individual and dental precaution, tooth extractions are inevitable during our lifetime.

Over the years, dentistry has evolved considerably in terms of techniques, anaesthesia, dentistry devices, used instruments, and the approach of health professionals.

Although it is a simple surgery, there are procedures that should be taken into account.

Tooth extraction aftercare:

  • You should keep a compress on the treated area for about 30 minutes.
  • Do not touch it with your fingers.
  • Do not drink alcohol on the day of the procedure.
  • Have soft foods, ice creams, and cold drinks. This will speed up healing and reduce swelling.
  • If you have any pain, take the recommended painkillers issued by your dentist.
  • Avoid smoking, as nicotine gets in the blood and slows down the healing process.
  • When lying down, prop your head up with pillows.
  • Maintain good oral hygiene. Brush your teeth carefully to avoid hurting yourself.
  • Use mouthwash.
  • Avoid physical exercise.

Cost to Extract Teeth

A straightforward single tooth extraction will cost 45 to 60 Euros while a surgical extraction can cost from 150  to 160 Euros.
